- Eggshell paint is ideal for heavily used rooms due to its durability and ease of cleaning, but it reveals imperfections on the walls, whereas matte paint hides flaws but is harder to clean.
- To determine the correct size of artwork to hang above a couch, its width should be 50-75% of the couch's length, ensuring the piece is proportionate to the furniture.
- When dealing with exposed pipes under a sink, opting for a new vanity cabinet that conceals the pipes is a more elegant solution than using a skirt, which can appear outdated.
