- Sofas should typically be between 80 to 95 inches in length to comfortably seat three people, while coffee tables should be around 16 to 18 inches high and 30 to 36 inches in diameter.
- End tables should be approximately the same height as the arm of the sofa, ideally between 24 to 26 inches high, to ensure ease of use and visual balance, especially when placing a lamp on top.
- For bedroom rugs, under a queen-size bed, an 8 by 9 rug is recommended, while under a king-size bed, an 8 by 10 or 8 by 11 rug works best for balanced proportions and comfort.
