- Focus on functionality and layout first when designing a room,
ensuring that the space works for your daily activities before
considering colors and fabrics.
- Architectural finishes like trim, cabinetry, and metal fixtures
should remain consistent throughout the house for a cohesive look,
but individual rooms can have distinct color palettes.
- Avoid using only neutral tones in a budget-friendly design as it
can make the space appear bland and showcase imperfections,
instead, incorporate pops of color to create visual interest and
camouflage minor flaws.
